Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as “PRP”, is a high concentration of platelets surrounded in its own plasma. This internal essence of our own blood contains life-giving fundamental protein growth factors. The process begins with taking a small tube of blood from the patient, which is then spun in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells from the “liquid gold” plasma. Not all blood draw tubes are the same – we use tubes that are specifically designed for PRP separation, which allow us to derive the most nutrient-rich plasma without damaging the important growth factors.
